The retreat runs from Saturday morning through Sunday morning with options for overnight stay Friday or an extended stay through Sunday with early registrations. Enjoy the peaceful environment of the Living Water Spiritual Center. For those arriving Friday, there will be a film and informal discussion at 7 pm. Sunday morning includes a prayer service and discussion time.
Cost:
$220: Friday 4:30pm to Sunday 2pm/ 6 meals and 2 overnights
$135: Saturday 9am to Sunday 2pm/ 4 meals and 1 overnight
$55: Saturday 9am to 9pm/ 2 meals

Author of: Pastures of Plenty, Sustainability and Spirituality, The Greening of Faith,Ecology and Religion, Environmental Diplomacy, International Environmental Diplomacy, The Real Dirt: Toward Food Sufficiency and Farm Sustainability in New England, Pastures of Plenty: the Future of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Conservation in New England.
Professor Carroll's current research and teaching emphasis is on the sustainability of agriculture and food systems, the relationship between energy and food production, and related ethics and values. He is a Kellogg Foundation National Fellow, the author of many books and articles, has traveled extensively and served as visiting professor at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. In the U.S. he has sought out models that incorporate and implement the ideas of Aldo Leopold and Thomas Berry. Since participating in the Templeton Foundation's Program in Science and Religion at Oxford University, Carroll has directed his attention to the spiritual aspect of environmental concerns. The result of this study is his book, Sustainability and Spirituality (SUNY, 2004). He played a key role in the formation of the New England Catholic Bishops' Pastoral on the Environment (2000) and has investigated the significant ecological roots of Christianity in particular and of the world's major religions in general.
