The Bangor Area Veterans For Peace Chapter 003 was founded on April 1st, 2003. Meetings are monthly at the Peace and Justice Center 96 Harlow Street, Suite 100, Bangor, ME 04401. The Bangor Area Chapter of Veterans For Peace officially changed its name to Veterans For Peace 003, Jim Harney Chapter, in February 2009.

FULL CIRCLE FAIR, JULY 26TH AND 27TH, BLUE HILL, MAINE

HOPE FESTIVAL, APRIL 19TH AND 20TH, 2008 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MAINE FIELD HOUSE, ORONO

FROM EVERY VILLAGE GREEN EVENT - BANGOR, MAINE - March 15th, 2008. Chapter President Dan Avener was a featured speaker. VFP Members read names of Maine soldiers killed in Iraq. They then joined the march from the Paul Bunyan Park in downtown Bangor to the Homeless Shelter.

FROM EVERY VILLAGE GREEN EVENT - BELFAST, MAINE - March 15th, 2008. VFP Members joined the march from the post office in downtown Belfast to the Unitarian Universalist Church where they held vigil. Chapter President Dan Avener was a featured speaker (no photos available)
