Maine Citizens for Clean Elections (MCCE) is back to work on legislation to solidify the public financing system for elections in Maine and to remind people to add money to the Clean Elections Fund when filing state income taxes. The Clean Elections Fund was raided by "borrowing" some of its fund for other state programs. The MCCE is demanding the return of that money so candidates in 2010 will have money to run their campaigns.
